There is something so special about a Syracuse Utah Temple wedding. From the beautiful temple architecture to the peaceful grounds surrounding the temple, Syracuse is such a gorgeous place for an LDS couple to begin their forever together. And when you add a joyful bride and groom, a fun bridal party, and a whole lot of love, you get the kind of wedding day that is so much fun to photograph.
This Syracuse Utah Temple wedding was exactly that.
As a Utah wedding photographer who specializes in LDS weddings and temple photography, I love photographing couples at the temple. My goal is always to create images that showcase not only how beautiful the temple is, but also how beautiful the couple feels in that moment. The temple provides an incredible backdrop, but the real focus should always be the bride and groom and the story they are beginning together.
And this wedding day was full of personality, laughter, beautiful light, and so many happy moments.
The Syracuse Utah Temple is a beautiful setting for an LDS wedding. The temple itself provides an elegant and timeless backdrop for wedding portraits, while the surrounding grounds offer plenty of variety for photos.
One of my favorite things about photographing a Syracuse Utah Temple wedding is being able to incorporate the architecture of the temple into the images without letting it overpower the couple. There is something so timeless about a bride and groom standing together with the temple behind them. It immediately tells part of their story.
The grounds also give us opportunities for a variety of portraits. We can photograph classic temple portraits, romantic bride-and-groom images, fun bridal party photos, and all of those little in-between moments that make a wedding gallery feel personal.
For couples looking for a beautiful Utah temple to be married in, Syracuse is such a wonderful option to consider.
One of the highlights of this Syracuse Utah Temple wedding was the bridal party!
As a photographer, I absolutely love when a bridal party comes ready to have fun. There is a balance between keeping wedding portraits polished and making sure everyone actually enjoys the experience—and this group brought plenty of personality.
Bridal party photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed. Some of my favorite images happen in the moments when everyone is laughing, interacting, and simply enjoying being together.
Of course, I will always make sure we get the classic, beautiful portraits that belong in a wedding album. But then we can have a little fun with it, too.
That combination is what makes a bridal party gallery feel authentic.
And Syracuse Temple is a particularly fun place for bridal party portraits because the temple and grounds give us such a beautiful backdrop while still allowing the group to have personality.
One thing I know is incredibly important on a temple wedding day is keeping family photos organized and efficient.
After a sealing, there are usually a lot of people who want a photo with the newly married couple. Parents, siblings, grandparents, extended family, and sometimes a very large group of friends can all be waiting for their turn.
Nobody wants family photos to take over the entire wedding day!
As an experienced LDS wedding photographer, I come prepared with a plan for these larger group photographs. Before the wedding day, I work with my couples to determine which combinations of family members they want photographed. Having that list ready makes a huge difference.
On the wedding day, I can quickly work through the combinations while keeping everyone moving and making sure we don’t miss the important people.
This is especially helpful at a temple wedding because there are often so many exciting things happening immediately after the sealing. Couples want to celebrate with their family and friends, enjoy their time together, and get to their reception or other wedding-day events.
Efficient doesn’t mean rushed. It means prepared.
My goal is to make family and group photos feel easy, organized, and painless so the couple can spend more of their wedding day actually enjoying themselves.
When I photograph a wedding, I want the final gallery to feel bright, joyful, colorful, romantic, and timeless.
My photography style is true to color with dreamy, creamy skin tones. I want your flowers to look like your flowers, your dress to look like your dress, and the beautiful surroundings of the Syracuse Utah Temple to look the way you remember them.
I don’t want your wedding photos to feel overly trendy or heavily edited. Your wedding day is something you will look back on for decades, and I want your photographs to still feel beautiful years from now.
That is especially important with temple wedding photography.
The temple is already timeless. The architecture, the grounds, and the meaning behind the day don’t need heavy editing or complicated effects. My job is to photograph all of that beauty in a way that feels natural and true to you.
Photographing an LDS temple wedding requires more than simply showing up with a camera.
There are timelines to consider, large family groups to organize, bridal parties to photograph, temple rules and locations to be familiar with, and a limited amount of time to capture everything the couple wants.
Experience matters.
After photographing many LDS weddings and working with large wedding parties, I know how to keep things moving while still creating beautiful, thoughtful portraits.
I also know how to look for the little moments.
The way a bride looks at her new husband.
The laughter between bridesmaids.
A parent’s expression while seeing the couple together.
The excitement of friends surrounding the newly married couple.
Those moments are just as important as the beautiful posed portraits.
My approach is professional and organized, but I also want my couples to feel comfortable around me. I like to think of myself as your professional third wheel—someone who knows when to give you direction, when to step back, and when to encourage you to simply enjoy the moment.
There are so many reasons I love photographing a Syracuse Utah Temple wedding. The temple is beautiful, the grounds photograph beautifully, and there are so many opportunities for meaningful portraits.
But ultimately, it is the people who make a wedding day memorable.
This couple and their bridal party made this Syracuse wedding especially fun to photograph. From the beautiful portraits to the laughter and energy of the bridal party, the entire day was full of the kind of moments that make me love being a wedding photographer.
For LDS brides and grooms planning a temple wedding in Utah, Syracuse is a beautiful place to begin your forever. And if you are looking for a Syracuse Utah Temple wedding photographer, I would love to help you document it all—from the classic temple portraits to the crazy bridal party moments, the family photos, and all of the little pieces of the day you may not even realize are happening.
Your wedding day only happens once.
Let’s make sure you have photographs that bring you right back to how it felt.
