If you are getting married at the Deseret Peak Utah Temple in Tooele, Utah, congratulations! What an exciting time. đ¤
As a Deseret Peak Utah Temple wedding photographer, I absolutely love photographing LDS couples here. This beautiful temple has quickly become such a special part of the Tooele community, and the grounds are gorgeous for wedding portraits, family pictures, and newlywed photos.
If you are looking for a Tooele Utah wedding photographer who understands LDS temple weddings and knows how to photograph your day in a way that feels beautiful, joyful, and true to you, I would love to be considered.
The Deseret Peak Utah Temple is a beautiful backdropâbut my goal is never just to photograph the temple.
My goal is to photograph you.
The Deseret Peak Utah Temple is located at 2401 N 400 W in Tooele, Utah. The temple was dedicated on November 10, 2024, and was the 200th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the time of its dedication. (Church of Jesus Christ)
The temple sits on a beautiful 15.5-acre property, giving couples plenty of outdoor space for photographs. Its design also incorporates details inspired by the Tooele Valley, including native lupine, cliff rose, and grasses. Those local details make the temple feel especially connected to the area. And the result is simply beautiful.
There are so many details around the Deseret Peak Utah Temple that photograph beautifullyâfrom the architecture of the temple itself to the landscaping and open grounds surrounding it.
It gives us the opportunity to create a gallery that feels varied and intentional instead of taking every photograph in the exact same spot.
As an LDS wedding photographer, I understand that a temple wedding is different from a traditional wedding day.
There are certain moments that are incredibly meaningful to you and your family, and I understand the importance of giving you plenty of time to celebrate those moments while also making sure we capture the photographs you will want to have forever.
I understand temple timelines.
I understand family group photographs.
I understand that there can be a LOT of family members who want a photograph with the bride and groom. đ
I understand how quickly that time outside the temple can go.
And I understand how important it is to have a photographer who can keep things moving while still making the experience enjoyable.
Your wedding day should not feel like one giant photo shoot.
You should be able to enjoy your new husband or wife, hug your parents, laugh with your siblings, celebrate with your friends, and soak in the fact that you are married!
My job is to photograph all of that while making sure we get the beautiful, timeless portraits you have been dreaming about.
One of the biggest benefits of hiring a photographer who has experience photographing at your temple is knowing how to use the location.
The Deseret Peak Utah Temple is beautiful, but you donât want every photograph to simply be a straight-on picture of the temple.
I want to show off the temple and show off you.
I know how to look for the angles that make the architecture stand out while still keeping you as the focus of the photograph. I pay attention to the surrounding landscaping, the light, the background, the direction we are facing, and how the temple fits into the overall composition.
We can create classic photographs that showcase the temple while also creating romantic portraits where the temple becomes a beautiful part of the story.
That variety is important.
When you look through your wedding gallery years from now, I want you to have photographs that remind you not only of what the temple looked like, but also of how you felt standing there together.
The grounds surrounding the Deseret Peak Utah Temple are one of my favorite things about this location.
There is something so beautiful about having the temple architecture paired with the landscaping and natural elements surrounding it.
The grounds give us options for photographs with different perspectives, backgrounds, and lighting.
And because I am always looking for beautiful light, I pay attention to how the sun is moving throughout your session. Good light can completely transform a photograph.
Soft, beautiful light can make your portraits feel romantic and dreamy while still keeping your images true to color and timeless.
That is exactly the look I love creating for my couples.
Your wedding photographs donât need to look stiff or overly posed.
Of course, we will get the important traditional portraits. You will have beautiful photographs with the temple, family photographs, bridal party photographs, and all of the classic images you expect from your wedding day.
But I also want to capture the little moments in between.
The way you look at each other.
The way your new spouse makes you laugh.
The moment you walk toward each other.
The excitement after coming out of the temple.
The hugs from your family.
The tiny moments that you may not even notice happening.
Those are the photographs that make your wedding gallery feel like your wedding, rather than simply a collection of pretty poses.
If you are an LDS bride or groom, choosing a photographer who understands the temple wedding experience can make such a difference.
You shouldnât have to spend your wedding day explaining how everything works.
You should have a photographer who already understands the rhythm of a temple wedding and can confidently guide you through portraits.
I want you to feel comfortable in front of my camera.
And if your husband tells you he âdoesnât really like pictures,â donât worry. đ
I am very good at working with husbands who would rather be anywhere other than taking photographs. My goal is to make portraits feel natural, easy, and funânot like you are standing around posing forever.
The same goes for your family.
I can help organize large family groups, keep things moving, and make sure we get the important photographs without letting family pictures take over your entire wedding day.

Your temple wedding is about so much more than photographs.
It is about marrying your best friend.
It is about your families coming together.
It is about the people who have loved and supported you getting to celebrate this incredible milestone with you.
And it is about beginning this next chapter of your life together.
I want your photographs to preserve all of it.
The temple.
The beautiful grounds.
Your family.
Your friends.
Your new spouse.
And most importantly, the two of you.
